Some new shots of S.T.A.L.K.E.R have been released. I know the game is close to 80 hours but I think I've see enough screenshots already ;)
Game is looking more and more atmospheric though. Here's a one of the photos I resized and made it smaller - looks very good apart from the misaligned texture on the guy's shoulder :D
Anybody know if those skies are static or animated?
STALKER uses a dynamic sky which can do cool things like showing the player reflections of pink and orange sunlight across animated clouds before the sky darkens completely. There are lots of other neat things the sky will do such as parting clouds and sky, revealing a fully luminescent moon and stars. :)

hi. It's been so long since I spoked to you people 45 minutes ago on Playground forums. :p

lol :p
STALKER does hold alot of promise. The leaked alpha revealed an extremely capable engine, able to display incredibly large environments holding extremely detailed structures and places... this without any graphical hitches (smooth as butter, even though it was still unoptimized code, on the Athlon 2600 [*cough* can't exactly say "my" Athlon 2600 ;)]... It will atleast be on par with HL2, which has shown the same amount of detail through its movies and screenies.
I prefer STALKER's premise... an open urban and desolate land for you to explore, versus the more linear HL2... The story backbone for both will be involving, but I prefer STALKER's general 'grim reality' type thing. Seems more geared to a mature audience than HL2.
Anyways, it will be interesting to say the least. Here's me hoping that STALKER is just as good as we've been led to picture it (oh and HL2 I guess too hehe).
