who's looking forward to this game?
I was a fan of the original and Cataclysm.
I'm stoked about HW2 as well. It'll be released on the 26th of August.
Along with Tron2.0 and SoulCaliber2.

Yeah Baby!
Homeworld and Cataclysm both kicked major ass. In fact, I took both off the shelf and played them a few weeks ago. Still very good looking and great playing RTS games. Homeworld 2 is as exciting for me as HalfLife2.
Awesome games. Can't wait for Homeworld 2. Soul Caliber 2 should be hella fun too. :)

I tried Homeworld when it first came out, but it was right in the middle of my 'UT phase', so I didn't really give it a chance.
As far as RTS games go, it rewrote the book in graphics, though. :D

During the whole UT phase I was stationed out in Hawaii.
But, I also had time for other games. One that comes to mind now was..
Metal Fatigue (http://www.metalfatigue.com/home.html) (RTS) which involved gigantic mechs that were the main unit in the game. VERY fun game (3 races with diffrent play styles and units) You could probably buy this game for $10 at a discount rack and it would be very much worth that money.
Another game I got heavily addicted to was a PSone game called "Azure Dreams (http://www4.ncsu.edu/~bwross/azure/)" by Konami.
I mean this was a game that took so long to build a character "Espeically when you ran into a rust trap and lost a sword that you spent weeks to build". I remember resetting the game over a dozen times just so I wouldn't have to rebuild a weapon. Also you could raise a pet animal and merge it with another to get diffrent creatures as pets.
And last but not least had to be "StarCraft" and the expansion.
