After you complete the game, Max Payne 2 opens up a few new gameplay modes. Three are a repeat of the original game's modes with more deadly opponents, a limit on save games and New York Minute which gives players a time attack mode. However, the all new gameplay mode, Dead Man Walking, is by far the best, with Remedy making five levels (all based on the single player locations) available for Max to fight off an increasing amount of enemies. The goal is to increase the amount of time you last in the level before you die and it’s surprisingly addicting. We think and hope that the first player created content for Max Payne 2 (once the mod tools are released) will be more Dead Man Walking levels.

Remedy Entertainment has nailed it with Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. This game is incredible on all fronts—graphics, production, storyline, game play, physics, and performance. MP 2 is engrossing through and through, and gives players a feeling like never before that they’ve actually stepped into the story. There’s just no getting around it—Max Payne 2 is likely the best action game I’ve played, and definitely the best I’ve seen this year. It’s a must have, even if you’ve never played the original, and if you can stop playing it without someone having to jerk your PC’s power cord out of the wall when you’re not looking, then you’re a stronger person than I am.

As a whole, this game rocks! Honestly, this is by far one of the best shooter I have played yet. I just can't give it an exceptional 100% rating considering how short the game was. Also there's no multiplayer (co-op mode would be cool). Personally I don't complain about the game length. Why stretch the story if it's perfect as it is now. If I go see a movie and it lasts 10 hours I'll get bored after three hours no matter what it is, and the same happens with games like that, with a strong plot, you lose focus to the story and it comes boring. Of course, if the game is boring or something, hell it can last 50 hours! In other words, I rather have a short awesome game than some long crap. If you are a true gamer and like this genre then 100% buy this game!

Bottom Line - You absolutely must have this game!
Not sure what else I can say. A brand new story that will keep you totally engrossed. Updated graphics and the same great gameplay with brand new Bullet Time effects. Help Max Payne solve the mystery of his past, and maybe help him with his journey through hell.
