Gaming Asylum Gives You Forgotton Hope a Battlefield 1942 Mod focused on realism and authenticity.

Ok men, this is the day you've been waiting for!
The Forgotten Hope team and BF1942Files.com are proud to announce the #1 unofficial expansion pack to Battlefield 1942; Forgotten Hope BETA 0.5B
This version contains way too many great new maps, vehicles weapons to list them all in this news posting, but you will be exploring the current 7 all-new maps and several dice modifications for a good while.. at least till we release the next patch featuring 3-5 all new maps, several new land vehicles, a few more planes and many hand weapons that did not make it to this release. We worked hard to bring this beta out today (well, for some its already the next day), and being our first release it didnt go quite as planned, but hey there's always a first time!
The next patch (some weeks away, unless we have to patch something sooner) will truly be something awesome.. so watch this spot for more big announcements and updates on the progress of Forgotten Hope.
THIS IS OUR FIRST BETA. A BETA IS NEVER PERFECT. THE BETA WILL BE UPDATED AND PATCHED.
Lots of unfinished or buggy material had to be removed from this first public beta, about 30% of our current total. Including 4 already playable and good maps, several vehicles, stationary weapons and hand weapons. This is not the end, this is the beginning.
Forgotten Hope Beta 0.5 is about 50% complete, with the emphasis more towards maps, aeroplanes and naval equipment at the moment. The future patches will further balance the other areas of the mod including hand weapons and land vehicles.
***BUG UPDATE: A mysterious player-kicking bug is affecting El Alamein. SERVER ADMINS ARE ADVICED NOT TO HOST EL ALAMEIN. A tiny patch will follow. Play the new FH maps to be safer.
***BUG UPDATE: Mystery bug isolated to two vehicles on Guadalcanal, Kursk and El Alamein. SERVER ADMINS ARE ADVICED NOT TO HOST THESE MAPS. A tiny hotfix will follow when we've tested it properly. Play/Host the NEW FH MAPS ONLY to be safer
