Gaming Asylum IRC Channel WANTED!

I saw that Creep and F7, I think, have registered #gamingasylum on PGP and was wondering if you planned on getting that started up. If so I would love that. It's hard to find help in Unreal Playground unless SkyFurnace is around, and I tend to not be patient enough with forums. If anyone wants to start one I'm up to help get people in there. Maybe there is another gaming server that has more DC players and we could try that.

Ya, it's there, and started.. but it's largely vacant atm. UT'ers idle in IRC all the time.. but I guess it hasn't caught on for BF42 yet?

I have 15 people in the channel now including myself but you aren't on IRC Creeper. Would have been nice if you could have set voice on and added a topic. If I could have minor ops til it gets going that would be fine then take them away later. I don't care. I just want to get the channel going.

Sorry everyone, yeah, Creeper set up the channel as soon as we went live. I asked him to run with it. I guess IRC just never really caught on for me.

Doesn't matter if they don't know what the Gaming Asylum is. Lot's of people don't know what UT is and they wander into #unrealplayground. When we do get a DC community on PGP people will see the warm and friendly atmosphere (as long as Tali, Trax, exeunt, F7, and Spiffness are left out :p) with all the people and think, "hey this is a thriving DC community, let's stick around and see what's up!" People don't want to be in empty channels. Just getting people there to chat, trying to make a community. And maybe by inviting those people in there who don't know about DC they will maybe go and buy it and try it out. Who knows?
