How often does a router need to be replaced?
Mine is 1 1/2 yrs old and seems to be getting hot at times. It has enough ventilation and is clean/dust free.
I don't know how much to blame on the internet for a slow computer and how much is equipment. Is there a way to check out a router?
The only thing I can think is to upgrade the firmware on your router which should boost it's performance.
You can do that by going to yoru router manufacturers homepage and download the firmware. Let me know if you need help. :)

Yes, me and turkish are very much enjoying each other's company right now. We get along so well, we've given each other little nicknames. She calls me "sexy" and i call her "nacho"

Sobe, what model router are you using? We can probably find the firmware for you. Firmware is basically software for hardware. >;)
It's like a driver update that's written to the memory of the router.
I didn't know Turkish was a girl. I guess I haven't been around that long, or my skills of perception are so bad as to be deteriorated completely.
So if Idol is over at the Turkish house, and Turkish is in Wisconsin, then by mathmatical reasoning Idol is a) also located in Wisconsin b) visiting the Dairy State or c) the square root of 37.
My mathmatical reasoning has never been my strong suit.
Orion and I are both located just outside of Milwaukee.

Yep Turkish, Airlea, TazGirl, Vanessa and myself are female..just so you know.
I have a Linksys BEFSR41 ver2.
Thanks for telling me what firmware is too. Hard to look for something when I don't now what I'm looking for :loopy:

lmao Awwww... poor Idle.
Does it make you feel better that I'd never do anything like that to you? I'd probably back-hand you so you'd fall off the bar chair and then I'd tip the chair over top of you. *nods*
Actually... no.. that would be mean. I'd sit in a corner and do a scientific study on how many times Idle gets shot down in a night. From the results, we could work out a better strategy. Sound good?

yeah, tell me about it. Two girls i've met in my life that were really into computers and cute and cool and all that jibber jabber were strictly undateable, how annoying eh? Kinda saw a girl that liked halo for a while....that was as close as I got, heh.
And if you're worried about jackrabbit telling her, have her contact me and then I'LL tell her....and then jack can't get you into hot water :-D
