WARNING- You may consider some of the screenshots spoilers.

Wow. Love thsi game. Like the other COD's, very immersive. Technically it looks very good. Full eye candy at 1920x1200 and not the slightest trouble.

The weaponry is quite well done/very interesting. So far so good. I understnd the SP is unfortunately short. I'll have more on that when I finish.

Here are a bunch of screenshots from in-game.

OMG!!! Those are some of the most realistic pics of a video game I have ever seen!!

What's really cool is how intuitive and in-depth the AI animation is.

Seriously, you wing a guy across the road in a balcony or window... next thing you see his him holding the rifle up over his head randomly spraying shells... a little desparate cover fire. Incredibly realistic.

Holy hell is this game difficult on "veteran". I'm stuck trying to over-run the news room. Probably have tried it 20 times to no avail.

Nuke it all from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

You playin this on a PC Hort? What kinda rig you have?

Since getting married I just don't have the money to upgrade my PC anymore. I'm still running an old Athlon 64 3700+ with an X800XT. An aggressive savings plan will do that. :(

I do have a PS3 though (purchased before we got married) and while I do enjoy popping a game in and playing it on a 50" 1080p plasma, I miss the configurability and online of PC gaming. Not to mention the mouse/keyboard for FPS games.

CoD4 does look hot though.

Finished. Many said it was short. I disagree; felt at least as long as COD1&2.
Very intense and life-like. Infinity Ward really knows how to make a game.

My favorite release in a long while.

Thanks for the screenshots. I'm really interested in this one now--graphics look amazing, the variety of locales seems cool, and the trailer was great. I'll probably throw it in the queue next to Crysis and after Bioshock. ...you know, for those times when I've had enough TF2.

There's much more I'm just discovering. For example, there are 30 pieces of "intelligence", mostly laptops, scattered/hiddwen throughout the SP. The more you find, the more cheats and bonuses you unlock. And it apparently will help you in multi, which I still haven;t tried.

The intelligence you gather is persistent, so you can go back and replay levels and add to your total. I ended SP having found 10 of 30... and I dug around a fair amount. Now I'm going back on the easiest setting and really scouring... but I still bet I've missed a couple.

Got the game yesterday, it is a lot of fun. At least as good, if not better, than the first two. Was going to wait until after my new vid card arrives, but it looks like I will not be seeing it until after the holiday, so I figured what the hell...
