Ok, trying to play with something and it's not quite working right, i hope someone can help. I trust you people :)
First off, this is for my personal page over at http://www.idleidol.com/blog
What I want to do, is make it easier for people to leave comments by remembering their username/email/website info and what not.
The blog setup I have running is written in php.
What I would like to do, is set a cookie that has their username, email, etc. in it. And as the page loads, for it to check if they have entered the info before. If they have, it would do nothing. If they haven't, however, I would like the script to prompt them for thier user name, email, etc. If they want to leave some fields blank that is ok. (some people might just want to store a username, but not an email, etc.)
I can't quite get it to work. I was playing around with javascript and if then statements and such, but I'm pretty useless....any help would be appreciate. Feel free to write the whole bloody thing yourself, i'm a master cut and paster. mwuahaha :)
