An actual post from today at one of the tech boards:

How bad for your lungs is smoke from a motherboard?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So today I had the bright idea of melting a motherboard in the oven. I wrapped it in aluminum foil thinking it would contain the smoke and prevent a fire (if a fire started it would go out because its wrapped in aluminum foil and with any smoke it would not get oxygen). So I start to smell something funny, and what do I find? My oven is pouring out smoke. So I turn off the oven and open all the windows (all the while trying not to breathe). I inhale some of the smoke, and my lungs and windpipe burn a little (woo hoo). I setup a bunch of fans blowing the smoke out my windows, but I still haven't ventured to open the oven and remove the motherboard. So I come up with my brilliant plan to create a hazmat suit ( it was just a clear garbage bag over my head and body). I put on my hazmat suit and grab an oven mit and open the oven, tons of smoke just billows out. I grab the mobo, run outside, throw it on the lawn and hose it off (it looked pretty cool, all the traces were lifted up ). So my question is how bad is mobo smoke for your lungs?
