Sunday is the deadline to signup to stop receiving calls by October 1st.
If you register between June 27 - August 31, most telemarketers must stop calling you after October 1. If they do, you may file a complaint.
September 1 or thereafter, most will stop calling you 3 months after you registered. You must also wait those 3 months to file complaints.
