questions about BF 42 and BFV

Quick Noobie question time ... i found my old BF42 cds - disc 1 and 2 , but the cd container has no cd key ... its been awhile since i installed 42 , but do i need a cd key ( hope not ) and did the game come with only 2 cds ( i hope so ) ... also is any body playing BFV any more i found all but the first disc ( i think it was still in the computer when i sent it back to be fixed ( so goodbye disc 1 ) - so is anybody still playing BFV online ( if thats the case - ill buy it used ) ..come to think about it - i still have Farcry ... is anybody playing that either ;) ????

I'm playing dc_final, hl2 and ut '99.


I can't get anyone to play bfv as it isn't running well on their computers or they can't get a ping under 200.

So I didn't reinstall after the last format. I really liked that game too.

I am playing 90% BFV

10% DC final....if someone I know is playing.

BFV runs fine for me with pings around 50 for TX and CA servers, I am in AZ.

I have a AMD64 3200, 1 gig ram, 9800XT card.

I think you may need to locate your CD Key, Radio, but you have both the disks for it.

Im pretty much committed to Bf1942. at least for Forgotten Hope, at least until BF2 comes out. I'm not playing BFV much at all, although I still want to check out the Point of Existance mod.

I still play both. I have no problems with BFV. You need to change some setting - video, sound, increase punkbuster check time. I've listed the changes in the BFV thread a few months ago. I play servers with the new maps and don't have any problems.

LOl :D Danky is Spending way too much time taking picture and not enough playing Games ;) . -BTW ... i was wondering ... Everybody is playing counterstrike ... is that the original verison ( with is what i have ) or is there an UPgraded version ? the reason i ask is because i keep see the word " source " behind Counterstike .

'Source' is the new/upgraded engine for CS.

So, yes, it is a new version - I think you'd have to buy HL2 to get it.
