Is DC 0.39 compatible with BF 1.45 or do we have to wait for a release from the DC folks?

Yes it is. That was the reason the DC team released .39; so it would be compatible with BF1942 1.45. If it actually IS or not remains to be seen.

I have already tested it on the server with DC .39, and it seemed to work fine.

BTW, you can download the patch from our files page! :D

Does this game go through a patch every week or something? lol :D

It's been out over a year, guess they just wanted to improve it...maybe?

Looks like mostly small gameplay fixes, and I'd bet the addition of the extra positions is more-or-less a direct result of the AC-130 in DC...although the transport in Secret Weapons will probably use it too.

My install failed. Something about an integrety check.

Yep, I got the Integrety failure also - I was using the incremental patch - I'll try the full patch maybe that'll work.

There is apparently a problem with the incremental patch (has to do with the Battle of Britain map - it upgraded to version 1.4.001, or something like that, which the incremental does not recognize). Use the full patch, it works...

Yep, the full patch installed.

Yes, the full patch loaded, but now I can't get on to any servers - keeps getting failures. Tried resetting the firewall but that isn't the problem.

Same here - can't connect to any servers.

Ok, the patch installed but now it's telling me the wrong CD is in the drive. The CD is there.

Server needs to be patched, Stealth is going to do it as soon as server load permits.

An evil, cruel plan.

I just uninstalled everything and I'll reload back to version 1.4. Maybe by this time next week they'll fix 1.45, but at this moment I think its screwed. Load at your own risk. Damn, now I have to reload all my damn control key. Ouch.

CD Prob: I have had that for awhile. I usually just use my RtR CD; that seems to work fine. Try different BF CD's, one is bound to work.

Server Connect: Yes, it looks like you can only connect to patched servers once you install the patch. We had the patch installed yesterday, and it is ready to go... just need to see when the time will be right.

Well, my RtR cd isn't working. If I click on the desktop link to start the game, it crashes there because it can't find the CD. If I use the Play button on the CD main menu, the game starts but when I try to connect online, I get the wrong CD error.

I can't find my original BF cd. My office is torn up to put a new floor down and everything is piled in the other rooms. If RtR won't work, I'm screwed until I can find it, and it sounds like there's no guarantee it'll work with the cd.

I'm going to reinstall the Battle of Britain map and see if that helps, since that seems to be the source of the incremental patch problem.

Problems suck!

Hope you find your CD, might be worth it to go thru a stack or 4 to find it?

Sorry Pal, but it looks like you will indeed need the original CD... I have read about this problem in numerous forums now, and that seems to be the solution...

Also, remember that you will only be able to connect to servers that have installed the patch... needless to say, I am a little leery of it right now. It is installed and ready to go; I will see if I can test on it tomorrow morning.

So in other words, if I do go to the trouble to find my game CD and it fixes the problem, I still won't be able to get on the server.

Yessir... you will be in the same boat as KFC... his patch is working, but he is having trouble finding servers...

If I patch the server, no one can connect unless they have the patch. Kinda sux, should be backward compatible.

I found the CD, and I was able to join servers. There aren't very many running 1.45 yet though.

I'll stick with version 1.4 for now. No rush.

Same here. I would hate having to pop in the CD everytime just to play the game. :ink:

I do that now..what's the difference?

So you won't be playing here for awhile..too bad, you'll be missed :(
