Isn't working now that I have upgraded :(
I d/l'd from our site and tried again from the TS site. Thought it might be a bad file. Neither one works.
Did I turn something off or is something here not allowing TS to work?
If you have a fix I'll be happy to try it :)

It's probably a Windows problem, Sobe.
I would update your Windows and download all the latest drivers for your hardware. The soundcard driver is what I would try first.
Does the motherboard have onboard sound? Are you using a soundcard?

Make sure you don't have the XP Firewall option enabled as well...

I also can't get BF to play. It loads and lets me chose GA after clicking join, the map starts loading and then there is nothing there except my screen.

Nope. Showed map loading and then nothing.
Guess I'll try updating drivers. Just start with one and keep going until I think they are all done?

1.4 full version and the DC .39 patch installed.
Windows updated it self on start up this am.
Could I have d/l'd the 1.4 & DC patch out of order, would that matter?

make sure there is enuf water in the plants and air in the tires... that could be it too....

No it would not boot and after 1 & 1/2 days they just used their own h/d and left it in.
I can get online. I can't get TS t connect or get BF to go past the map loading stage. It goes to desktop.

After I downloaded the map packs from another thread... I had that same problem with the game loading, and finding servers. As soon as I was connecting to the server and loading a map I blew out to Windows.
I uninstalled every bit of the game, then reinstalled clean. Reloaded all the patches, mods, etc. from scratch. Updated my direct x to 9. And manually updated windows. Restarted my whole system, router, etc. Crossed my fingers and all worked.
My mic wasn't real consistent, but everything else is good.
Make sure your BF folders are clean with no added subfolders in the wrong place.

I have had similar issues as of late. When I built my new comp, I reloaded BF with patches and then DC but when I went into game, it booted me back to Windows.
I wiped it out and reinstalled, making sure it was done in the proper order in respect to patches. Same thing.
So I downloaded all files again (500 megs would not be pretty with 56k). I have yet to find the time to try to see if it worked.

This am I uninstalled Norton,TS & BF to start fresh and have the same problem.
I use the add/remove from the control panel. It keeps leaving my control settings inplace. So how do I start fresh?
You have to delete the folders all of those programs were in. Go into Windows Explorer and delete them.
Usually, configuration files and save games are left in place after you uninstall a program. Deleting the folders will get rid of them.

After 5 days I was geting worried I would never play again :cry: dramatic I know, but true..hehe.

LOL..you have to catch me first. :p Anyone has one of those "How am I driving?" stickers. I need to put one on the back of my tank for Sobe. :moon:
