Anti-Air.

Anti-Air comes in four flavors:
The Coalition Vulcan and Iraq Shilka.
The Coalition stationary flak gun and the Iraq flak gun.
The Coalition M16 and Iraq Mig29.
The Stinger.

First, the mobile ground AA.

The Vulcan.
The Vulcan is a VERY fast firing rotary cannon. It has great range and can chew up a plane in seconds.
The secret is to lead the aircraft. The faster its flying or the farther away it is, the more of a lead is needed.
Is has slightly less punch up close than the Shilka, but greater overall range.

The Shilka.
The Shilka is a four-barreled automatic flak-cannon. It requires less lead than the Vulcan, and has a great punch from close to medium range. Works well on Helos at close range. At long range it can be harder to hit with than the Vulcan.

With the mobile AA, try and find a clump of trees, or a depression to hide in from tanks and ground vehicles. USE YOUR RADAR. Always try and point the front towards clear, smooth ground. This way, if an aircraft sees you, you can move and fire at the same time; the smooth ground will keep your aim steady.

Stationary flak guns.
The Coalition uses the 1942 flak gun beefed up and firing faster. Lead your target and pummel him. Works well, if your out of Stingers.
The Iraqs use what is pretty much a stationary Shilka. Use the same as the mobile version.

The M16/ Mig29.
Nothing takes out any aircraft like these two planes. For Helo hunting, they are tops. If you have a Helo harassing a base you are at, take cover and call for air-support. The Helo will be taken care of in short order. Fly above your target if you can, and give it a burst from your cannon, then pickle off a couple missiles. Use the rudder to keep it in your cross-hairs. They also work well vs each other and vs the A10/ SU25. If you have a friendly pilot in either of these, use him/her. The Mig has the edge in how quick it handles, the F16 is a bit more stable.

The Stinger.
The Infantry mans best friend. Takes planes out in one shot. Helos take two…or three. Take cover and lead your target. Stingers fly very straight; if you can figure out your lead, you can make some amazing shots.

ps…

You may have noticed I have left out the AC130. That plane has its own rule book. It requires a massive amount of gun fire to take it out.
