Whats a good, free screen capture software for XP Pro?
I have FRAPS, but that wont grab a desktop.

Print Screen -> Paste into an image editing program will cap your desktop. :p

Unless you're trying to capture an image from a copy protected DVD, in which case you're screwed. :cry:

In 98 it placed the image on the clipboard. XP Pro doesnt have a clipboard that I can find. So, where does the image go?

It goes to the clipboard, open up MSPAINT and press CTRL-V

I don't know why XP doesn't put a link to the Clipboard viewer on the start menu, but I don't see it either. However, you can make one.

clipbrd.exe lives in your %systemroot%\system32\ directory.

Ok....I found the clpbrd.exe
Now, does XP work the same way as 98 using the "print screen" button?
I tried this and nothing shows up on the clip board (trying to get a snap of my desktop). This is PISSING ME OFF :ink:
