I think so.
It has good graphics and the potential for very good gameplay.
They did a very good job with the weapon balance, vehicle vs infrantry balance, and JointOps vs Rebal balance.
Player/ vehicle movement and general feel are good. And the newest patch really made a difference. The cpu usuage is way down, and the frames, while not high, are very consistent now.

The games major flaws are its sound (the weapons generally sound weak) and the fact that it is VERY team based. You still get alot of players who think its Quake and just try and frag away without any sort of plan or communication. Headset/ mic really is a must with this game.

Luckily, because it has a very nicely setup points system, most players will try and help the team out. This is especially true of the Medics; I have come across some really good ones.

If you like the idea of a hardcore teambased game, they did a really good job with it. If they could fix the cheesy sounds (these guys ever fire a real rifle in their lives??) it would be a damn near perfect teambased game.

Just make sure you have a fat cpu with lots of bus speed and memory. Its a system hog like no other.

I'm having fun with it. The other night one guy took "command" of the team, assiged us into fireteams and gave us each seperate missions coupled with waypoints and go codes for each fireteam.
It was a blast! We won every map that night.

I'm gonna say you're gonna have problems. I sometimes drop down to 15-20 frames in large battles. You might be OK with the last patch. Hard to say. I would say you are right on the cusp of decent playability.

It will run but I would stay away from servers that are over 80+.
I have a 1.7XP (1900+), 1 gig of 2700, and a 9800 Pro 256.

At normal/ low settings @1024x768 I get average 27fps on servers with less than 100 player setup. Its perfectly playable at this speed. Anything below this, and it sucks.

We ended up winning that map. First time I've seen a side win it. Most times it ends a draw.

That map was the best time I have had in a game in about a year.
The firefight right after taking Charlie was non-stop for just under 10 minutes.

Hellz Yea! Thats all I play... but i dont play AAS or CoOp... I play TKOH! Team King of the Hill! I play on the HS-Custom Maps server! I hate playing with 100 players who are all noobs. You guys should try TKOH! Look for me (SuperDank-HS) Hit Squads.

AND! I made a custome map and it rocks and its one of the favorites on the server I play... My map has tunnels and a base underground in the zone... if you all want to check out my map let me know and Ill post a link to it.

we have a TeamSpeak server with about 10-12 peeps... all are cool and no one is a jerk! Jerks get punted or banned.
