Anyone going to play Cataclysm?

While I haven't played WoW consistently throughout the years, I have always made the effort to play the new expansions and to get my toons up to the max. level cap. That's usually good enough for me.

The new patch that is out offers some cool changes to classes. For example, you can now roll a human hunter. I'm definitely liking that. I will be interested in trying out the Worgen class when the expansion is released in December.

More importantly, druids got nerfed.. :D

I will be playing. Same as you, I'll be leveling at least one character and trying out the Worgen class. I'm not sure I can level all my toons. The game doesn't hold my interest long enough for that.

I'm also interested in running the new Deadmines. That's always been one of my favorite instances.

I don't really care about the rest of the end-game content. Raiding hasn't been my thing since I never learn to play my classes well enough to be of any use in them.

New mobs and bosses (since we killed all of the previous bosses). But it still looks pretty cool.

I like to level and do mindless stuff but not much into raiding. My kid is definitely amped about the expansion.

I don't raid very much either. I never know what i'm doing, then I get yelled at by the raid leader.

Is the new DeadMines part of the newest patch or do we have to wait until the expansion?

Ahh.. i might have to rejoin. I saw my guild had disbanded when i finally got back to playing wow.

I gave all my cash & items away when I left WoW. It was the only way I could guarantee not to be pulled back into the game, especially raiding.

The politics just sucked. Spouses, kids all got a leg up with out being able to actually do the job.
I really soured on raiding and greedy players who ran the guilds and then took off with all the guild goods. After all, acording to them they did "earn it all".

Not to bitter am I?

I lost intrest in WOW before Litch King was released and havn't played since then. I don't have any interest in going back. I enjoyed my time on there with you guys though. It brought back the old UT days for me that were so fun. Guild splits and time pretty much killed the game for me.

And just think, now you can visit the airfield in Dun Morogh without breaking a Blizz rule. :devo:

Logged into one of my characters after a patch and it was smack in the middle of the airfield.

I just finished Mt. Hyjal, the 80 - 82 zone in Kalimdor. I took the time to read every quest dialog, really trying to get into the story line.

I think it was the best zone for questing that I've played since the original game. I really enjoyed the different quest types, the dialog and the overall quest chains.

They're clearly trying to gear everyone up for something. I started the new zone with 13k health (quest blues and greens) and finished the zone with 43k health, again with quest blues and greens.

I think that since my goal is to immerse myself in the story rather than level as quickly as I can, I'm really enjoying it more than the last two expansions.

I'm a little skeptical about the other 80 - 82 zone, Vashj'ir, because it's entirely underwater. Maybe they can pull it off.
