It IS like BF42/BFV on steroids. Huge maps. Day and night cycles. Lots of different equipment. Was just playing with 100+ people and it ran pretty good. Wow.
BUT, you better have a fast rig. This game is a hog.
Going back in.
Do vehicles take damage? They didn't in the demo.

Played all weekend. Had a blast.
Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but I am loving it. The neat thing is that there are so many people that you can join with 5-6 buddies and make a squad of your own and not hurt the game.

Anybody else getting this game?
Nope. :moon:
While I beta tested this for a few months and loved it, I don't think I'll be getting the final game. It just feels too unpolished. The guns all sound 'tinny'. In beta it was great playing with people who were mature abd played the objectives. I can't imagine what it would be like with 50 jerks.

The guns do sound a little tinny. But, the gameplay is pretty good. I am still amazed that I get very little lag on a server with 150 peeps.
Oh well. I will be an army of one. :)

I picked this game up over the weekend. After I recover from my vacation, I will check it out!

I bought it just for the heck of it.
The weapons packs are done much better than battlefield.
They also show weight incumberance, which is nice.
Night vision goggles, :)
Even with 64 ppl, 5-6 coordinated peeps can really do damage.

How is the balance? Is there an obvious über-loadout like the M60/LAW or a vehicle that dominates every game?
Cheers,
Salyavin

Balance is really good. No obviously overpowered weapons. Both sides get a really fair loadout. And, the vehicles are primarily for transportation. Each side has only one type of armored vehicle and one attack chopper. The rest are just troop transport vehicles. And, with maps as big as 50 square miles, you need transport.
Be carefull......The damage system is much more realistic than BFV. You only need to get hit once or twice (usually once) before dying. Your best bet is to defend a checkpoint for a while until you get the hang of it. Then load up a chopper with 20-30 of your buddies and attack.
This sounds like it is MUCH different than the demo... hmm

It better, no ones going to buy it based off of the demo. Thats for sure. :D

It's WAAAAAYY better than the first demo.
Much better than the 2nd.
It might not be for everybody, though. Tough game. Need good hardware to run it. And patience to play.

I should be ready to play some online this weekend. We will have to start using POP to coordinate some games.

Ummm... Phan, could you add this game to the list on POP????
Inkswitch

Make sure you run through the training missions, Stealth. Especially the Attack and Defend missions. They get you used to the type of combat you will experience. It is much different from BFV. A lot more realistic.

Other than Dank as 'gamingasylum'
Is everyone else's nick match their nick in the forums?
If so, has anyone used the player filter successfully?
I looked for you guys last nite and found noone.
In this game, a couple of fairly intelligent friends makes the game more enjoyable.
I am 'major stapuf' as someone else stole 'stapuf'.
Also, anyone using Xfire or the like.
I am playing in the 'West Coast' server section...
puf, lonely. :)

Your card doesn't support a lot of the T&L stuff.
That might (probably is) be the problem.
Try turning everything to Low or Off. Especially Frame Effects. FE is all the stuff your card doesn't support.
