The fact that you have to fill out the "27 b stroke 6" is hilarious. This form is mentioned in the movie brazil, when jonathon price tries to stave off bureacratic plumbers at his door, and Robert Deniro tells them to ask if he has this form.

"It fixed itself?"
"The pipes don't fix themselves."

Love that movie.

DeNiro's death scene in Brazil is the best. death. scene. ever.

For me... Brazil is one of the most boring movies ever.

That is all.

SIAB,

I think we have adequately established that our taste in movies differ wildly, from Unreal Playground forums.

I'm sorry if you can't appreciate the humor of using a 27b/6 form to form a supergroup. I hope that little homage doesn't interfere with your enjoyment of the game.

Heh, i was just messing around. Yes, I don't like the movie, but I'm sure the use of the form is hilarious. I do not have CoH, so I don't know the use of the form. As Salyavin was doing, I just used the comment of Brazil to make an CoH unrelated comment about the movie.

I did so partly because I know most of the crowd here are probably Brazil lovers, and that it might start something on the subject :)

I, unfortunately, do not remember the movie's details much and don't even remember the form in question...

Theres lots of cultural references in CoH...

some of the Dual Origin enhancers for magic users have the name "Crowley" in them (Crowley's ring, Crowley's incense, etc.) Crowley, is the name of a character from a Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett book called "Good Omens"...a comedy about the end of the world. It's in the same vein as H2G2 (hitchhikers guide to the galaxy) Crowley is a demon, and this movie (like many) is currently in hollywood limbo...someone snatched up the rights and an adpatation was ordered, but nothings really coming of it. Rumor has it Johnny Depp was asked about playing the role of crowley early on and seemed very interested in the project...which would be awesome, as he would be perfect for the role. (read the book, you'll get it :)

This reference is reinforced if you go to the zone Perez Park in game, a secion of that zone is called "Gaiman woods"

Gaiman references him in the first Sandman book and Roderick Burgess is essentially a copy of Aleister Crowley. I recall reading somewhere that Gaimain intended A. J. Crowley from Good Omens to be a similar reference, but changed the A. to Anthony and went for the crawly/Crowley pun instead.

And yeah, Johnny Depp would be perfect as Crowley if the movie project ever makes it out of limbo.

Jamie Delano made extensive references to Crowley in Hellblazer as well. Hellblazer is probably my all time favorite comic.

Keanu Reeves, Hellblazer.

Chaz: "Ellie has been posessed by Balthazar."
Keanu: "Whoa."

Keanu Reeves is just so opposite of the persona of John Constantine. A very poor casting decision.
