How to save games...

I haven't tried this yet but this supposedly enable saving and loading from saved in-game.

I just installed this, only tested it quickly (cause im trying to run out the door), but it didn't seem to work.

One big problem with this is I would be tempted to use the ammo / godmode cheats as well, and I'm not ready to do that yet. :D

So far - into 'rebellion' the saves (and save AI) have been pretty good.

AI can be very smart but also very stupid... you lie low in some bunch grass and they can't see you, you leave your arm sticking out a bit and they'll snipe you from 300 yards away.

A few bugs-- AI that stands frozen shooting at the ground. Gunfire sounds that occasionally loop... and the Trigents... their damage radius is way too big... they come nowhere near hitting you and you occasionally take damage... minor gripe.

I'm a few beyond the treehouse levels... very cool so far.

It seems to me that this new *save* feature doesn't work as I expected.

Just before walking into a room, I press F9 to save (no indication that it actually did anything). Walk through the door, play about 5 minutes and don't really care for the outcome. Didn't die, but didn't have any health left.

So I press F10, and I'm *instantly* back to where I pressed F9. Didn't get my health back, and as I walk through the same area I just was, dead bodies and dropped weapons litter the floor.

Looks like I teleported back in space, but not in time. :( Oh well, maybe with the next patch.

Pfft..you don't need the saves..

Hey- so you bought it- good cow... whadya think?

Here is what I do. when you are at a bind or a part you cant be and you finally get past it then you dont want to die, open console and type \save_game. works all the time. I dont really know what you guys are trying to do but here is the best way to save a game and doesnt take long to load so why bother? :p

LOL, I finished the game and still dont know how to make a save game, so I didnt use them in the game.

\save_game but public isnt supposed to know... since if u save in building ull end up outside the map when u load major glitch... jus press prone and u will be back in building
