I tried to get some information from EA's web site. I think we all know how impossible that is. :rolleyes:

Will BF Vietnam be a stand alone game or is it another mod for BF1942?

How many of you are getting it?

Will GA be running Vietnam on it's server?

It's a standalone game. It's been described as 'BF1942 on crack'.

I already pre-ordered it. (before we got EBgames affiliation unfortunately :( )

GA will have a brand new BF:V server. The DC server will still be up (although it may be switched to Galactic Conquest for this weekend).

What file do we need to download to play GC? Is there a new verision? I tried an earlier version of GC and the installer was a complete mess. Didn't work at all.

I got a question.

I was under the impression that they will have classic rock music in-game so that is has the feel of the era.

Is that true?

Cause the videos from their site looks sweet and sounds sweet.

At planetbattlefield they answer a bunch of 'community FAQ'....one of which was 'can I play my own music' they said yes....don't know about the canned music.

What file do we need to download to play GC? Is there a new verision? I tried an earlier version of GC and the installer was a complete mess. Didn't work at all.There's new release of GC tomorrow (rev 0.2) that should have it's own installer so you don't need to download anything yet. You can get a trailer for GC rev0.2 here: http://www.gamingasylum.net/file.php?id=259. (You'll need the Divx 5 codec in order to play it. Get the free Standard version from http://www.divx.com/divx/. DON'T get the free Pro version because it has Gator adware/spyware.)

I've heard the BF:V music is going to be a mix of 60's rock and music from Vietnam war movies. The music will be played from radios in the vehicles a la GTA3. One of the previews mentioned getting in a Huey and playing Ride of the Valkyries like Apocalypse Now. How cool is that?

That GC Video looks sweet! Hopefully the new installer will work this time and this mod catches on! Looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah the GC team did a complete overhaul of the mod. They have a new file structure and everything. The file that will be released tomorrow will be a 484MB self executable so the install should go very smooth.
