It seems to always be in the Inshallah Valley, Kharkov 2, and Omaha beach loop...or I am just unlucky like that.

The 'Crash Map' is Inshalla Valley. I think you're right StaPuf. I didn't see any map after Omaha Beach or before Inshalla Valley all weekend. So either Bragg or Omaha Beach may be causing problems.

All three of those. Kharkov 2 is a real p.i.t.a. because the armament is completely skewed. Coalition gets what...three Abrams, to OpFor's one lousy T-72. The spandrels and the BMP are no match whatsoever for those things.

It has been a while since I've seen 73 Easting get played. I'd let the day2 maps play for a bit more before you make a decision. The last Kharkov2 map I played - the teams were off rather than the weapons.

Okay, case in point then. Last night I had |Robot|Gunslinger and |Robot|Thug with me on the OpFor team, on that map. You guys know us, we're not bad players. But we couldn't get a thing done against those weaps...which is why we finally abandoned the game. It's just no fun that way, and that's really the only reason we play.

On a related topic, why isn't mapvote enabled?

It looks like the problem map is Bragg. I haven't seen it or any of the maps after it since the rotation change.

As for Kharkov Day 2, I think the SCUD is supposed to balance the coalition tank advantage. Using it effectively is the problem, especially when opp only has their base flag. Getting a spotter into a good position is almost impossible because opp can't climb the hill on the north side. When opp has the hill flag they can use the SCUD to attack/hold the south flag, but it still requires better teamwork than you'll usually find on a pub: a spotter on the hill and a tank/spec ops/AT guard on the west bridge to block coalition attempts to circle around and take out the SCUD.

As for map vote, I believe the reason that it and kick votes are disabled is that they are susceptible to abuse by smacktards. Instead of playing the game they start a vote every few seconds to annoy other players.

We were thinking the SCUD was supposed to balance out the tank, too, but that's a pretty poor design decision for the very reasons you noted: it's pretty much impossible to get the kind of teamwork needed to use the thing.

The only map in the rotation I don't care for is Inshallah Valley. If the Opposition gets 1 person in before the Allied team spawns, they just fly over and take the Allies only flag. Happened to me last night or the night before. The game was over without the Opposition losing a single ticket.

Well Wake needs to be removed. I had heard there were glitches in the map but thought they were small ones.

I can walk thru the building near the airbase flag, just right in & out through the walls.

The cannon (?) nearset the flag looks solid..you can lay down inside and see outwards, you are looking thru the concrete base. Once you "see" who is there you ccan jump out and kill them.

The flag near the beach..the cannon does not function.

Now all this could be my buggy computer, I have not played wake again. I like the map but found myself getting ticked off at the glitches in it.

But, of course. :D

I know opposition can't use health boxes on Wake, but can use health in vehicles. Not sure about Coalition.
