Other than controlling lobbies with the 3 key combos...is there a way to check TS or do other stuff without having to escape out of BF/DC? When I try to switch over it takes forever.

You can alt-tab out. But, BF'42 isn't very good with that. I think F7 alt-tabs out once in a while with no problems.

Yeah alt-tab works but it takes a while to get out to the desktop. I just use another PC for IRC/TS/RemoteManager/etc.

Another thing you could possibly do is hook up a second monitor...just a 15" cheapo will do.

There are also Virtual Desktop programs out there that give you more than one desktop. You can set a hotkey to switch between virtual desktop windows. It's not an alt-tab; you won't get hit with the slow time to switch as you probably are experiencing now. With virtual desktops it would be instantaneous. However you might need a lot of RAM to do it. It's actually something I'm going to check out tonight so I'll let you know.
