Seems like the jerky n00bs show up after the cool crowd leaves...

They jump to whichever team is closer to the Apache?

Yeah..going to have to do something about that :(

Do jerky people just have a sixth sense for when the cool crowd leaves? :D Hehehe

The problem I have with auto-balance is -- I get switched to the other team with no warning, I respawn and then start teamkilling because I haven't yet realize I've been switched.

<yodavoice>Mmmmm, tough decision this question is.</yodavoice>

It would be nice if autobalance assigned you to a team when you joined the server, and only allowed you to switch teams if they are unbalanced...ie. if it's 9 v 10, you could switch, but 10 v 10 you can't switch automatically. You'd have to get someone to switch with you, with one leaving the server for a moment to allow the switch.

How it deals with a bunch of people on one team bailing at once I don't know. But it shouldn't be switching teams every time you respawn.

It would also be nice if there was an on-screen message when teams become unbalanced, with the admin being able to set the number disparity at which it's displayed. You wouldn't want it popping up if there's just one extra person on a team, and maybe not 2, and if you don't want it to display at all, set it to some impossibly high number. But a lot of players don't check the team balance during the game, so an on-screen warning might help.
