Bleh that sucks. Looks like I'll have to get a DVD-ROM.

That's fine, so long as they don't ALSO try to make it like Secure-ROM, which only newer CD drives could read. I suppose a DVD is better than the inevitable 10-CD sets that games will eventually become though.

Gah... Don't plan on buying a DVD drive just for this...

Yeah, they clarified it after I posted. The Europeans get the DVD version. Us Yanks get 6 CD's.

lol... all I can say is: finally!

DVD-ROM technology maxed out over 2 years ago,
the drives are as cheap as ever,
and come standard with most PCs/laptops.

Its about time that something makes use of the market.

Yeah I've put off getting a DVD drive for long enough. I can definately see more and more games being released on DVD with it's superior storage capacity. 1 DVD would save companies more than 4+ CD's. I saw a nice Sony black one the other day in CompUSA for $30.00 I think I'll grab.

Well, I went out and bought Far Cry today, after over a week of having in my possession a DVD ISO "backup"...

It was on 5 CDs! I mean that's cool (even though I also have a DVD ROM) but somewhat unexpected... Was this the same case for anyone else?

Yep, 5 CD's!

Well worth it... good choice, Seal
