Straight from Shacknews.com (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/27787)
There is this statement from LucasArts president Simon Jeffery: "We do not want to disappoint the many fans of Full Throttle and hope everyone can understand how committed we are to delivering the best quality gaming experience that we possibly can."

Grrr. If they cancel Sam and Max 2 too, I'm going to spare no one.

Theres going to be a Sam and Max 2??? woot! Might be interesting to see this with all of the new technology since the first one :D
Bummer about Full Throttle. I loved the first one and the soundtrack rocked.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it has the same magic as the first one (which I still have around and play using ScummVM).

Their website blows, but the screenshots of the game look great. Very much like the original, except much more detail.
SCUMM is what they used in Monkey Island, correct?

Anybody know where I can find a copy of the original Sam & Max? I've always wanted to play it but haven't been able to locate it.

Anybody know where I can find a copy of the original Sam & Max? I've always wanted to play it but haven't been able to locate it.Still available from the Lucasarts web store in a bundle with Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis and Day of the Tentacle (also great games). http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/adventure/
It can also be found cheaper on ebay or gametz.com.
Use ScummVM from http://scummvm.sourceforge.net to play it as it works on pretty much any desktop OS and has anti-aliasing modes that make the graphics a lot nicer.
SCUMM is what they used in Monkey Island, correct?Yup, and on every Lucasarts adventure from Maniac Mansion on until Grim Fandango, where they switched to a 3-D engine.
