Anyone else picked this game up yet? I'm having a blast playing through it, it's got a really unique quality and the moves are fun. I can see it maybe getting repetative for some people, but i'm easily amused with bouncing bad guys all over the screen and chaining combos together to rack up the Viewtiful points.

Nothing is cooler than pulling off your first Ukemi....SMOOTHE!

yup, very simple...just straight forward fun side scrolling action. A mega man for the next generation. (which they sort of joke about in the game... "do you think you're some kind of mega, man?")

So odd .. When i first saw that game - it reminded me of of Idol ..not a 100 % sure why .. maybe in the back of my mind i remembered he has a game cube . Still when i saw it on tech tv - i remember saying - "now that s an Idle Idol game - if ever i saw one " :) !!

Yeah viewtiful joe is definately on my list of games I need to buy, just about everybody is saying it is pretty awesome. And as a bonus, it's high price is only $40.

Yeah, it was cheap. I went in for SMK:DD but they were sold out (pretty much sold out indefinently :)) So i picked this up based on nothing but general buzz i've seen in mags and on websites...it was totally worth it. (though the boss on stage 4 made me want to kill the first born child of the game designer.)

And yes... you should associate anything with flowing pink capes to me.

Yeah, my only concern with viewtiful joe is that games like it are generally play through it once then forget it type of games. I would have loved a 2 person side scroller too, throwing in another player in viewtiful joe seems like it would make it so much more fun, though since I haven't played it, I don't know if it would even work. From the special moves and such, it sounds like it can only be a 1 person game, but anytime you can play something with at least 1 other person, the replay value sky rockets.

I'll definately be buying it someday, though mario party 5 is my next buy :)

oh, and mario kart dd is pretty good. If you have people to play it with, definately get it, if you are solo, maybe just rent it. If they could just throw in the ability to play the battle modes with ai players it would really help the game if you can't fill it with 4 ppl.

Just got done beating this baby... holy crap the game rocks. Definately one of the harder games I have played in awhile (and I guess it has 2 harder difficulty levels to unlock... yikes). I can see myself replaying it a few times to try it on harder difficulties with the unlockable characters... definately a blast comboing the hell out of guys for awesome v-points!

I guess you can also go for a rainbow v point thing, where you get V's on EVERY section in the game... unlocks a character I think. That means getting amazing vpoints, doing it fast, and not getting hit... for the ENTIRE game... don't see how you could do that without shooting yourself in the face first, but I may have to give that a go to.

Definately worth the $30 it costs now!
