I've been playing DC for a while now. its pretty cool, but I definitly think that the helicopters are a bit strong. I realize they should be, that is their purpose. trouble is, no matter how much I shoot one, they rarely seem to go down by my hand. The real trouble is because I cant fly one of them buggers. I tend to crash fairly quickly.

Most here say using a joy stick makes all the difference in flying anything.

Someday when I'm ready, I'll try it out too.

Ask Ink how to fly a Helo...hes generally the Master around here.

Still easy to take out with a Mig tho :D

I've found the best way to fight a helicopter when you're on the ground is to rush at it as opposed to running away or to the side.

Rushing towards the copter forces the pilot to drop the nose eventually to the point his nose is facing straight down. 99% of the time, they panic and lose control and either crash or fly off trying to stabilize the copter.

Copters are pretty much the reason why the majority of DC players play as the Anti-Armor class now. 2 Stinger missles takes out a copter. Another great weapon to use against them is any anti-aircraft, or the gun on top of the Opposition's transit vehicle (the equivalent to the Humvee).

As for flying them, I seem to be average with a mouse and keyboard. One thing I did do is increase the sensitivity of my mouse for vehicle driving. This way I can make my movements quickly and can restabilize if I begin to lose control without having to move my mouse to the other side of the desk. :p

Laying down with the heavy machine gun, you can take out a copter pretty quick.

My favorite remains the Stinger for them... they are like big albatrosses when they turn or when they go straight up.

If someone is stealing a copter from your base, a quick RPG works well also.
