Looks nice.

I must admit, as fun as BF 1942 is playing, it's a nightmare using their multiplayer interface. They could've spent an extra day or so cleaning it up a bit. I don't use the filters anymore because they screw up the search more than thye help it.

I thought I was the only one that hated the interface. I mean where are the favorites FFS!
I tried out this tool but it doesn't give you a list of servers, just one that meets the criteria specified. I guess it's cool if you just want a "quickmatch" but it's nothing compared to BFm8.

We are all spoilt from the excellent UT interface.

Though, they could have copied it..........

Thanks Inky. It started out just being something that I could use to launch into servers. I hated the hoops one had to go through just to get onto a BF server from the BF1942 game menus. And I really hated the "EA GAMES: Challenge Everything!" sound blowing out through my speakers at max volume everytime I wanted to play.

With Stranger's help, I was able to make it more or less ready for the public. I'm sure he got tired of me real quick with the initial bugs and all.. :D

Since EA Games/Gamespy have it so that only the game itself can query the master BF server ( ), I'm working on a way around that as well. This way people can create third party programs (such as BFM8) that can get a full listing of servers. This is a slow process for me and i'll make an announcement when I have completed this little project.

I'm just rambling now.. but its great to hear that BFM8 has made people's gaming lives just a little bit easier.

You might want to check out Phans BFm8, you'd be surprised.

It's always better to at least look at what's new, that way you're in the know ;)

and...

Free > All Seeing Eye

therefore....

BFM8 > All Seeing Eye

I just can't believe this many people have clicked into a thread with both "Have you seen this?" and "Skyfurnace" at the top of it.

Our own Player & Server tracking is better than ASE, IMO.
Now downloads. No installs. No fee.

Yes, I am thankful that we are not limited to a crappy server browser interface built into the game. Battlefield has the weirdest menu layout I have ever seen.
