So... How many of you out there have had a piece of Microsoft Hardware die on you? Especially like the mice and keyboards...

Did you know that Microsoft has not made a mouse that isn't still under warranty? How many of those bad boys do you have laying around right now? You want some replacements? Well, have I got a deal for you...

About a month ago, I had an Intellimouse Optical Explorer (~$55) go bad on me. I don't know why, it just stopped working. Actually, I think it was a bad cable... It was the one that I use with my laptop, and I wrap it up all the time when I am out on the road. So I went out and bought a new one - it was a year old... Anyhow... It kinda pissed me off. So I opened up an issue with M$ hardware support through the web. After a few things back and forth, they gave me the magic number...

Look in your warranty on the hardware you are calling about. Make sure it is still under warranty. You will need your product ID - usually on the bottom of the hardware somewhere...
