So, what kind of credentials do we have here? Am I one of the only 'techs' as in I do that for a living?
I'm a network engineer. Was a tech for 6 years now. moving into linux/unix
how bout you fellas? anyone here I can go to with questions?
I'm a also network engineer. Been doing tech support for 3 years, server systems support for 2, and network design/support for the last 3.
I know F7 is an uber g33k as well.
Network Engineer here too. :) 1 year tech support, 3 years ran SW portion of company network in Dallas (Tempe, Albuquerque, Dallas, & St. Louis offices) so I pretty much had to do everything IT related from tech support to designing a network segment which connected one of Nortel's offices directly to our Dallas office via a T1 and allowed our Raleigh, NC office to utilize Nortel's resources via a secure VPN. Had a lot of fun down there until I got laid off. :( Now I'm working for Volvo back in NJ. I also build and repair PCs in my own time.

It's just my hobby.
But, I have been building my own rigs since the 486 days. (Ahhh, DOOM). I am pretty damn good at tweaking and stuff. I also watercool, so I know a few things about that as well.

6 Years air traffic control radar tech for the US of A.
5 Years computer hobbiest.
2 years customer computer repair tech for best buy.
All the while breakin my own computer and learning the ins and outs of DOS & win98 and WinXP registry.
A+ Cert since 99'
and a quasi network admin here at Ft McCoy, WI.
I may not have as much experiance (professionally) as most of you do, but I tend to replicate alot of the problems people have on unrealplayground's H/S Troubleshooting forum and learn to fix them myself.
I pride myself in learning the newest technology (don't mock the 1ghz computer I currently own :p ) and upcoming computer devices and software updates.
I also play-test (sometimes illegally) alot of upcoming games and figure out how things are broke can be fixed.
I'm lazy at heart and at love (at the moment) but hard pressed to drop a bomb on anyone's ass in a game :p
Gentlemen, I give you ...
