The TS server has been struggling the last couple evenings. If you have been kicked off, you now know why.

I am going to check up on it today and hopefully attend to any problems.
Please report any problems ( and times ) to this thread and I will try to take care of them.

Just FYI Ink-

I was on a different TeamSpeak server last night and had none of the troubles I had initally here (people getting bad echo, etc). Maybe just coincidence.

I think that you may just have your TS tweaked correctly now, Hort. You were only one of a few that had any problems. And I think all of you had the same soundcards.

This seems to be server side. Outside in Windows. It is a 1.4gig AMD w/512 PC133 memory, Win2000 Server OS. It is hooked up to a 256/1.5MB cable connection. It runs 24/7. It seems that the PC has been severely sluggish opening proggys in normal Windows. TS itself does not seem directly affected, but may be the source of the Windows problems. Even with 32 people on, it should still open programs at a decent speed. Might need another stick of memory.

The rig has Viruscan, Firewall, and 3-4 other proggies that boot with the machine along with TS. I am not sure if it a resource issue, or a bandwith issue. I should be able to host quite a few people with that connection.

Was anybody on last night when the machine was rebooted? If so, how many apprx were on?

Didn't use it after F7 left. It was empty.

SuperDank wrote he was using it during my last game.

Yeah, it kicked me out last night. Not too many people were on it. I think it was just me and someone else. However, it promptly reconnected me when the server came back on-line. HTH.

HTH.SFT and I were on. I didn't reconnect when it dropped me though... BF1942 doesn't like alt-tabbing out and it was during the last match I played.

I may have a temp problem with the server.
It was idling at 55C which is a little high even for an AMD. When another app was opened, it may have been enough to push it into unstability. I am gonna work on cooling it this afternoon and hopefully that will be the end of the disconnections.

OK
New fan/heatsink. It only dropped the temps 6-7 degrees, but I think that will do the trick. That CPU always ran hot, anyway.

Please report any server crashes or problems to me as soon as you are able.

Game on!

The other night my ping jumped to 2000 !!!! (with TS on)

I restarted BF and got out of TS and my ping dropped to 50-100.

Coincidence? Maybe...just info.

Haven't seen that!

It's actually been really good 'till the last couple days. The only problems seemed to be client-side.

I think I got it dicked. I'll keep an eye on it.

Yeah, was on with Sal for a bit and then it got quiet. I was wondering why SoBe was ingame but not on TS.

Sorry, SoBe. I was typing you a message (that's why I stopped the jeep) and we got blasted. I was typing , "BAIL!!!". Hey we won that one anyways, right? :D

Still having problems.
TS seems to work fine no matter how many people are on it.
The problem is back on the desktop. When IE is opened, the program opens quickly and the web page loads quickly. The problem is that you can't link to anything off of the page. Nothing happens when you click a link.

It is wierd that IE opens normally and the webpage too. Just the links off of the page seem to be affected.

I will keep working on it.

Just found out why I can't reload the mini at the ammo boxes..I have more clips to use up. Jeeze
Never knew why I had a reload key when everything just refills when next to the boxes.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Sal :)

Oops, SoBe learned how to reload. Did you tell her, Sal? I promise you, you'll regret it! :D

TS is back up.

I won't take it down when people are on again. I just needed to see the before and after picture.
